The problem
Mitti is an underwriting agency. Brokers sell our insurance, not us, so they need to capture everything a quote needs quickly, and look like the expert doing it.
The research
Calls with brokers, walking through every interaction in their day. They called the interface uncomplicated and were open to changing how they think about an insurance platform.
The idea
Build every question as a component on SafetyCulture’s colours, buttons and icons, so a quote or a claim comes from the same parts. Three rules: ask only what’s essential, talk like a human, break things up.
The pivot
The acquisition moved quoting to an external vendor and paused our build. Frustrating, but the components went on to power our first digital claims experience.
The results
$7.23M in quoted premium, from 500 new quotes at an average of $11,500, in the first month after launch.
