About Jesse Davies

Biography

Jesse Davies was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Gilmanton Iron Works, New Hampshire, where he tended goats with his three brothers and six sisters.

Conversion

Though Jesse grew up in the church, he knew very little about the Lord until he had a Damascus Road-like revelation in his backyard when he was sixteen. Unsure if what he saw was really real, he prayed for a miracle. On the way to a men’s conference that would change his life, his empty tank of gas became suddenly full! This was the first of many miracles he would see.
Before long he realized what God had for him, and he ran like a burning Jeremiah to the mission field (see Jeremiah 20:9)! He knew that this thing he had found could not be kept silent.

Call

As a kid Jesse never wanted to be a firefighter or doctor or anything most little boys want to be. He always wanted his occupation to be saving people. After seeing many war movies and admiring the dramatic bravery of the heroes, his heart couldn’t settle on any particular profession, thinking they didn’t require enough courage. Instead he wanted to be in the military. That was the place where he could save lives. However, after his life was transformed, God revealed to him how he could make an eternal impact—something more than simply saving flesh.
